Meetings
We meet on the second Thursday of every month except July and August. Club meetings are at the Nexus Church Family Life Center building on the corner of Hall Blvd and SW 22nd Ave in Beaverton, OR.
Our December meeting is on Thursday, December 11th.
Our Social Hour is from 9:00 – 10:00. Please join us for coffee, tea and light refreshments, and remember to bring your own insulated cup to help us reduce our paper consumption.
Our meeting begins at 10:00 with our Guest Speaker, who has the floor until about 11:00. Members are welcome to stay for the Business part of the meeting, or they can choose to leave after hearing the Speaker.
We have a Take & Trade table, where members bring in garden-related items that someone else might be interested in giving a new home.
We have a monthly raffle that includes amazing baskets designed and curated by Leslie Niiya. Proceeds from this raffle are given to local food banks.
Each month, a member of BGC gives a short talk on a subject that they are deeply familiar with, such as herbs, tomato growing, Mason bees, propagation, container design, etc.
Conservation Pledge
I pledge to protect and conserve the natural resources of the planet Earth, and promise to promote education so we may become caretakers of our air, water, forests, land and wildlife.
